AI funnel analysis for bottleneck detection

See where conversions drop, assess bottleneck severity, and get specific optimization actions. Review your funnel and prioritize the next fix.

When is a bottleneck detected?

AI reports a bottleneck when a funnel step has more than 50% drop-off and at least 10 sessions have been measured.

What do the severity levels mean?

Normal (<50%): No action needed. Warning (50-70%): Optimization potential exists. Critical (>70%): Immediate attention required.

How often are bottlenecks checked?

Checking happens in real-time with every new event. A 24h cooldown prevents multiple alerts for the same bottleneck.

What recommendations does AI provide?

AI analyzes the bottleneck context and provides concrete improvement suggestions based on funnel type (E-Commerce, SaaS, Lead-Gen).

Which plans include Bottleneck Detection?

Bottleneck Detection is available from the Growth plan. Trial and Starter do not include this feature.

At what data volume does bottleneck detection become reliable?

As a general guideline, you'll need about 10 sessions per step and time period. BigHoot intentionally does not report anything below that threshold, because individual users would otherwise completely skew the bounce rate.

What is the difference between bottleneck detection and the "Watchtower"?

Bottleneck detection analyzes the structure of a funnel and identifies the weakest link. Watchtower monitors key metrics over time and alerts users to deviations from their own baseline values. Together, these provide the location and timing of a problem.
