Website anomaly detection | Watchtower

Watchtower monitors KPIs around the clock, explains conversion drops, and gives actionable advice. Find the cause before performance declines further.

What happens when an alert triggers?

You get an in-app notification immediately, plus an email from the Growth plan on. Every alert includes context on the anomaly and AI-generated recommendations.

Can I set custom alert thresholds?

Yes, from the Growth plan you can create Custom Alert Rules with your own metrics, thresholds, and comparison periods.

Are there Slack and webhook notifications?

Yes. Slack and webhook are available from the Agency plan. Slack receives alerts with severity “high” and “critical” including metric deltas and a project link, the webhook receives all severities – signed via HMAC.

How do I avoid alert fatigue?

Watchtower uses intelligent cooldown periods and severity levels. You can prioritize alerts by importance and mute less critical ones.

Does Watchtower monitor funnels?

Yes, there are dedicated funnel alerts: step drop-off, funnel conversion anomaly, bottleneck detected, funnel goal decline and time anomaly – available from Growth.

How does Watchtower avoid alert floods?

Through three mechanisms: a minimum volume per check, a robust baseline from median and MAD instead of a fixed threshold, and cooldowns per alert type. A dismissed alert additionally stays muted for a multiple of the normal window.

What happens when the metric recovers?

The alert resolves automatically and is marked as ended in the history. You still see when it fired and how long the deviation lasted – useful for post-mortems after a deploy.
